Monica Valdez was born in San Jose, CA. She is an SJSU Pictorial Graduate who works primarily in printmaking and painting. Monica’s work has been exhibited in a number of Galleries from SF Bay Area & Los Angeles CA, to Beacon NY. Her current work merges screen-printing and painting to create her own distinct style. Much of her work is inspired by trametes versicolor, waterfalls , and plant life mixed with man-made structures. In which she creates a commingling of two distinct forms becoming one.

She currently resides in San Jose, California.
